Violent attacks on Indians in Australia have made it to the headlines in the last few days…there has been a lot of retaliation by the fellow community members in Australia as well as back home in India.
I was going through a couple of blogs right now…those in favor of the Australians have said that India has no right to complain as they themselves have no law and order and have people like Thakrey present in their society..I agree that we do have problems in our country…we do not deny the fact that we have people like the Thakreys in our society…but does that mean that give a reason for Indians abroad to be abused and assaulted like this…?? And to top that our right to question them is also being questioned… do we not even have a right to retaliate due to the mayhem that we have in our county..?? Is that the explanation you have for us, for your so called “curry bashing”…!!! I’m sorry but we cannot take such a lame excuse..!!!
There have been criticisms that media has given an undue hype to the issue…but do u really think so…??? People are dying out there…!!! Your authorities are doing nothing but covering the sins…and u say it’s all exaggerated..!! Why shouldn’t we raise our voices…its only after the media has highlighted these cases that the Australian authorities were forced to take a note…
You say that there have been only 500 cases of assault out of the 95,000 students thr… only 500 cases…!! Do u think 500 is simply nothing...!! The Indians are being singled out and are they have been at the receiving end of the abuses which is totally unacceptable…n u say…we overreact…!!!
Defense is also being put forth on the ground that the economic condition of Australia is not good and it is the Indians there who are taking away the jobs from the jaws of the Australians, which is causing frustration among the youth in Australia…WOW…!! What a defense...How can u give a counter argument for such a baseless thing…!!
Well, I only wish that effective steps are taken by the authorities for the protection of Indians in Australia so that no more Baljinder Singh’s have to feel the brunt of the so called frustration of the Australians…

Why does it happen that sometimes u do not know what to do…which way to go…what to choose..and amidst all this why do u feel so uncomfortable…
I don’t know why, but I’m feeling very uneasy rite now…Life is not as easy as it seems to be… It makes u realize that u r constantly on a roller coaster ride and that to enjoy the pleasure of being at the top u also have to go through a lull...u at times have to make certain choices in life to get something…but why...why do we have to give up something to get something else…why can i not have the Best of Both worlds...
I wish I could find a few answers so that I cud feel better…but…thr seems to be none…
